Empress Market is a joint venture by the founders of Bun Kebab and Sister Slush, located in the heart of Hackney. Named after the infamous Pakistani market which was constructed during the British Raj era, the recently-opened kitchen & bar embraces the diversity of London, offering Pakistani folk cuisine and New Orleans tea-infused cocktails. We loved the warm interiors, personal and attentive service, and most of all the delicious food and drinks (we were most impressed with the Bun Kabab, which apparently took over 3 years to refine and perfect, and the vodka spiced chai)! Can’t wait to go back for their bottomless Sunday brunch♥
